Dormitories
There are two dormitories for students at MATE Buda Campus.
The smaller, cozy and family-friendly Gellért Dormitory is located in the heart of Újbuda, next to Móricz Zsigmond Square, close to shops, Mall (Allee Center), post office, pharmacy, specialist clinic, restaurants which are within walking distance.
The larger, modern and panoramic Somogyi Dormitory is located above Buda Arboretum, on the side of Gellért Hill, next to campus sport center and library.
The Gellért Dormitory is located on the first three floors of a five-storey listed building, which can accomodate 57 students.
The dormitory is waiting for prospective and existing students with refurbished rooms, modern equipment and facilities.
On the first floor there are 1 double and 1 triple room, 2 toilets and a modern study room. On the second and third level there are 2 triple rooms, 5 rooms with 4 beds, 1 bathroom, 1 toilet and 1 kitchen (with washers and dryers).
Every room have a bed, a desk, a chair, a bookshelf and a wardrobe for a student. The rooms are equipped with fridge and bathroom.
There is a Dormitory Coordinator/Level Manager who helps to students if needed. He/She ensures all students follow the House Rules, and he/she organizes the dormitory community leisure activities.
The Somogyi Dormitory is a four-storey modern building complex, which offers accomodation for 310 students.
There are 152 double rooms and 2 triple rooms on the three floors of the building.
Each room provides a bed, a desk with chair, 2 bookshelves and a wardrobe per student.
The rooms are equipped with fridge, bathroom with shower and mobile drying rack.
Every floor have 1 kitchen (with small locker), 2 male and 2 female toilets and a lounge.
On the basement we have student club and gym, which can provide an opportunity for smaller events and workouts.
The spacious lounge, the 3 study rooms and 2 washing and drying rooms provide modern service to all our students.
There are three Dormitory Coordinators/Level Managers (1 for each floor) who help to dormitory residents,
they shape the lifestyle of the dormitory community and they ensure all students follow the House Rules.
